Child Care First Aid

    Coast2Coast provides Child Care First Aid and CPR training that follows Canadian Red Cross guidelines. There are two levels of Child Care First Aid, which cover different topics necessary for those who work in child care professions or simply want to learn this important information.

    These trainings are great for groups from workplaces or school programs to complete their required training. Our goal is to provide our students with the confidence they need to save a life, which is why our courses are always taught by a Canadian Red Cross instructor who uses top-notch training equipment.

    Emergency Child Care First Aid

    Our Emergency Child Care First Aid is a one-day course offering an overview of first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses. The course covers skills needed to recognize, prevent, and respond to circulation emergencies for babies and children (CPR level B).

    Other topics include airway and breathing emergencies, as well as prevention of disease transmission. The course is designed for those in the early childhood education industry as well as for parents/caregivers.

    The Emergency Child Care First Aid course follows the guidelines of the Canadian Red Cross and will provide you with a WSIB or OHS approved certificate, which is valid for three years.

    Our Standard Child Care First Aid is a comprehensive two-day course offering first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) skills, with a focus on childhood injuries and illnesses. The course covers a variety of topics from basic (CPR level B, circulation emergencies, airway and breathing emergencies, and prevention of disease transmission), to in-depth (sudden medical emergencies and injuries to the head and/or spine).

    The Standard Child Care First Aid & CPR course has been designed for those in the early childhood education industry, or those who want more knowledge to respond to emergencies involving children and babies.

    This course follows the Canadian Red Cross guidelines, providing students with a WSIB or OHS-approved certificate. Learn from our experienced instructors and feel confident while providing first aid and CPR to children and infants!

    Scott's First Responder Recert absolutely exceeded my expectations. I am a relatively new Athletic Therapist who was looking for my first recert and didn't know what to expect from a recert that wasn't led by an athletic therapist. Scott was able to make the class engaging, was able to challenge each of us individually based on our strengths and weakness, helped me learn to really "own" the leadership role in responding, and brought along a strong sense of humour that kept me engaged. Scott was able to provide extra advice from having worked in the field and was able to help me refine specific techniques such as D.I.Y Tourniquets.     Ezz was great! He was a top notch instructor despite having hip pain. Made the course enjoyable, engaging, and left us very good nuggets of information that I will always remember. My only feedback for this program is not with the instructor, but with the company. I wanted to cancel a class that I had booked with three weeks notice and was told I would be charged $35. I think that policy makes sense with a last minute cancelation but not within a three week notice.
    Something to consider to ensure customer satisfaction.
