First Aid & CPR/AED Recertification Courses

If you are interested in our recertification course, you must already have a First Aid Certificate. It is important to keep your license up-to-date with the changing guidelines. Your current certificate must be active before you are able to register for our recertification course.

Canadian Red Cross revises and updates these certificates every 3-5 years. Our recertification course has been made to refresh your memory, update your knowledge, and help you practice your skills with the latest equipment. You will also learn about the updated guidelines, changes and any new curriculum changes that may alter the way we have performed First Aid in the past. Parking: On weekdays, parking is available on-site with additional street parking nearby. On weekends, street parking is the main option.
Transit: The closest CTrain stop is University Station, just a short walk from the facility.

How quickly will I receive my Red Cross certificate after completing the Calgary course?

You will receive the digital Red Cross Certification within 5-10 business days of completing the course. A temporary certification is often provided right away so you can how your employer immediately

Are there any CPR classes offered in other languages?

We offer CPR classes in Calgary only in English at this time.

Do Calgary employers accept these certificates under Part 11 of the Alberta OHS Code?

Yes. Calgary employers accept our Red Cross First Aid certifications because they are provided through an Alberta OHS-approved training agency. This ensures the courses meet the requirements of Part 11 of the Alberta OHS Code, so your certificate is valid for workplace first aid compliance across Alberta.

What should I bring to my First Aid class in Calgary?

Just bring a government-issued ID, a water bottle, and comfortable clothes. All materials, including training equipment and manuals, will be provided for your First Aid classes in Calgary. You are also welcome to bring a mobile phone or tablet to easily access the digital course manual during the session.
